A town with a fascinating history, like the history of the rest of West Pomerania and Poland. The numerous well-preserved and renovated historical monuments in the city and its surroundings remind us of ages past, while the city itself is an exception with unique building developments and a checkered street layout in the Old Town area. From 1996 it is one of seven towns that have been included in a government program "Saving Historical Towns", which preserves our cultural heritage.

Places worth seeing:

-St. Mary's Maternity Parish Church built in 1370. A remarkable structure that everyone should see. It has a 90m tower, one of the tallest in Europe, which used to serve as a beacon, even though it is 10 km away from the sea. Today, it is still one of the first recognizable buildings along the Baltic sea. About 2/3 of the way up the tower, there is an observation deck, which offers spectacular views of the area. There are also unique bells on the tower: unnamed from 1399, "Maria" from 1515 (similar to the Zygmunt bell in Cracow) weighing 3700 kg and a bell from 1905. Most of the furnishings are Neogothical, and the most precious art pieces include headstones (also Arnold Crampl's from 1382), organ pipes from 1848 and stained glass windows built on Wilhelm I's order in 1867.

-Old Town

-a Palace from 1682

-"Kaszana" donjon

-St. Gertrude's Chanel from 1400 (today serving as a Byzantine-Ukrainian ordinance temple)

-Chapel of the Holy Ghost from the 14 th century

A Romanesque-Gothic Cathedral

The oldest and most beautiful building is the Cathedral, a fine example of high-class Romanesque and early Gothic style. Its adjacent picturesque patio is the easternmost European example of such a structure. The long history of the cathedral is revealed in the many valuable elements of medieval furnishings, as well as the times of Catholic episcopate and after the joining of Pomerania to the group of Protestant countries. A unique aura is created by multicultural motifs, which is also known to fans of organ music concerts, presented in the cathedral for over 50 years now.

The Museum of Rocks in Kamień Pomorski presents hundreds of interesting minerals, fossils, as well as pieces from space. Some of the most original and fascinating pieces include the huge amethyst geodes, the Gibeon meteorite, and the dinosaur collection, which is comprised of a duckbill's eggs in a nest, parts of fossilized bones of prehistoric animals, a complete skeleton of a Deinonychus. There's also an opportunity to watch a film about the life of these great prehistoric reptiles.
