Pensjonat Lena - Polish Pension Lena - Deutsch Pensjonat Lena - English Penzion Lena

Whether you are in Rewal for the first time, or if you are a regular visitor, this is the place to see. With an astounding sight of the sea, it is the perfect sunset- and sunrise-observation spot and the ideal place to relax after a long day of sightseeing.

The beach in Rewal is not only beautiful, but sandy and clean. The wooden breakwaters beset with seagulls add charm to the views one beholds during walks on the beach. There is a lot of activity in the summertime - games and a portable cinema in the evenings, slides and water sports in the day. You can take a ride with the lifeguards in their official motorboat, ride a "banana" float or participate in numerous contests. Early risers have the opportunity to watch the work of fishermen, look for seashells and amber or enjoy a spectacular Baltic sunrise.

In the Autumn, Winter and Spring the beach offers peace and quiet not easily found elsewhere, and these are the best times to watch some fascinating sea storms.

One of the best attractions on the Rewal coastline is the narrow-gauge railway, called "The Retro Choo-Choo". Over 100 years old, it is the oldest line of this type on the entire western coast. The historical trains cruise with a speed of 25 km/h along a beautiful greenway, stopping at all the stations:

Gryfice - home of the Museum of Railroads with 19th-century examples of trains and an historical engine house of the Gryfice Narrow-gauge Railway.

Rewal- not only the center of the municipality, but also offering spectacular views of the sea and seaside cliffs.

Rybokarty- a Palace standing over a picturesque lake
Karnice - the Remains of a historical train viaduct on the Trzebiatów-Kamień Pomorski line

Dreżewo - Ruins of a palace estate with an historical park

Trzęsacz - beautifully located over the edge of a cliff, the ruins of a 14th-century church (a class "0" relic); the 15th meridian and the border of the Central European Time Zone passes through this town

Niechorze - a Lighthouse built in 1866; the Museum of Fishery

Pogorzelica - Greenway scenic route along the edge of a waterfowl reserve on the Liwia Łuża lake.

While spending a vacation at the seaside, you cannot pass up the opportunity to try a fresh fish from the morning haul at one of the many fish restaurants. Fish is served in a variety of ways, so you're sure to find a special treat to suit your taste. There's also quite a few smokehouses by nearly every beach entrance, where you can buy smoked eel at affordable prices.

There is also a possibility to buy fresh fish straight from the cutter, where fishermen will prepare them for you, and all you have to do upon returning to our inn, is put it on the frying pan in the fully-accessible kitchen. Rewal is full of restaurants, bars and taverns, where you can have a good meal at any time of day or night.

We encourage you to find out more about the different species of fish found in the local restaurants.

In the summertime the amphitheatre hosts many Polish pop stars. Well-known music bands and cabarets come here, almost everyday there are contests and plays, also children's shows.

The "Festival of India"- "Common Europe"-"One World" has been stopping in Rewal for years. It attracts tourists with cheerful music and charming plays. For a few days, you can meet interesting people, find out about India's culture and try Indian food. The festival stops here at least three times each summer, and then proceeds to move on along the coast to the other towns in the borough of Rewal.

Each year a spectacular event is organized in Rewal, called "Summer with the Radio" where the greatest Polish music stars sing.

Also the "Miss Baltic Sea" pageant is held in our town.

Peaceful music played by live bands can often be heard in local cafes and open-air bars. An integral part of the Rewal experience is of course shanty.

During summertime heat waves it is best to replace your car AC with a fresh sea breeze. The Rewal coast is a great place for bicycle trips.

There are many interesting trails, both for short rides and an all-day excursion. The bike trails stretch from Pobierowo to Pogorzelica, and are very attractive, as riding along the shore lets you admire spectacular views of the sea, rest in the woods or climb the lighthouse. After returning to Pensjonat Lena, the swimming pool is the perfect place to relax after a day's journey.

Our inn offers the use of both adult and children's bicycles for free.

See the local hiking and bicycle trails.

Rewal is not only for those dreaming of blissful laziness - fans of active ways of spending your free time will find many attractions here as well. The Rewal beaches offer great conditions for windsurfing, kitesurfing, and other water sports. A few-hundred meter walk is all it takes to get to an empty beach. There are also scooter and quad rental points, and two horse studs - one in Rewal, another beautiful one in Trzęsacz. A short 100-meter walk away from our inn are tennis courts, miniature golf, a basketball court, sports hall, gym, athletic indoor stadium with a football field and a professional skatepark.

Rewal and the other town of the Rewal Coastline are worth seeing from
a bird's-eye-view. Between Rewal and Niechorze, there is a small airport for a bilobed airplane, which offers affordable scenic flights. The best time of day to try this is in the evening, just in time for the sunset.

St. Nicholas's gothic Church was built in Trzęsacz in the middle of the 15 th century. It was 2 km from the seaside cliff at the time. The sea has been systematically washing away the sand and earth, and getting closer to it every year. In the middle of the 19 th century, the church was closed. In 1901 the fist wall tumbled into the sea, then the other parts followed. The last slip occurred in 1994. Today only a fragment of the last wall of the church remains, and stands on the very edge of the high cliff. The ruins are a wonderful background for picture-taking, and a triptych that once hung in the church can now be seen in the church in Rewal.

Another relic worth seeing in Trzęsacz is the recently renovated neogothical church from the second half of the 19 th century, situated in the southern side of Trzęsacz, next to the park and the manorial buildings. Concerts of pipe organ music and classical guitar music are held here.

Trzęsacz also means the 15 th meridian, the exact synchronization of clock and solar time.

This local architectural monument was build over 140 years ago. The first light was lit in it in 1866, using an oil-lamp with four wicks. The lighthouse is 45 meters high, and its light can be seen from a distance of 36 km. The source of light today is a special, 1000W light bulb, with over a 20-fold increase of power thanks to special prisms. To enter the lighthouse one must climb 203 steps, but the beautiful view of the sea, the Liwia Łuża lake and the surrounding towns is worth the effort.

The Rewal beach is regularly visited by a Baltic seal called Depka. She can often be seen resting on the sand or having dinner comprised of a fresh catch of cod. The seal is harmless, and is used to the presence of people, but it is kindly asked of visitors not to touch it or disturb its rest.

In Niechorze, there is the Liwia Łuża lake, which is a wildlife preserve. Many unusual specimens of birds can be seen there, feeding near the shore. It is the perfect destination for a bicycle ride.

We encourage you to get to know the animals inhabiting the region.

Even a short stay in Rewal is a wonderful treatment to your health. The beneficial effects of ever-present iodine in the perfectly clean air, healthy fish, sea and sun bathing all make tourists leave healthier, well-rested and eager to return.

Many tourists have seen that Rewal has its own warm and mild microclimate. Forecasted rain and cold weather pass by Rewal, and the temperature of the air and water only rises.

The Museum of Sea Fishery in Niechorze serves not only as a showroom, but also the local cultural center. Meetings, lectures, workshops and theatrical productions are held there. Apart from the permanent exhibition of sea fishery, the museum organized numerous temporary shows.

Rewal and its surrounding offer great angling spots. A temporary fishing permit can be obtained in town, and you can go out to sea. One of the favorite fishing spots is the Rega river, about 20 km away from Rewal, or the bay Zalew Kamieński and its canals.
